Tashi Lapcha Pass is one of the highest pass that is available to trek in Nepal. It is 5705 meter high and is consider strenuous trekking route. Physical fitness is essential to complete the trip. The rugged and rocky terrain in addition to high altitude makes it extreme. Loose rocks make land unstable and difficult to climb. Good guidance from experienced guide is must for success and safety. Tashi Lapcha falls between two different trekking regions of Nepal. It connects Khumbu region and Rolwaling region. Rolwaling valley is beautiful trekking trail in itself. The trail goes through dense green forest, fast flowing rivers, high land pasture, glacier lakes. The settlements starts to get thinner as we climb in altitude. The valley is mythical land of Buddhist monks. It is holy place where Guru Padmasabhava meditated. Mt. Gaurishankar, Parchermo, cheki-go, Yalung-ri and many more peaks can be viewed from Rolwaling valley.
On crossing, we will reach another well-known trekking region of Khumbu. This region is well known for its natural beauty and cultural importance. There are number of peaks including Mt. Everest. It is bustling with tourists, guides and local in trekking season.

Arrival in Kathmandu and pick up and transfer to hotel by office representative. Hang around Thamel on availability of time. Acquire and prepare necessary gear for the trip.
It will be long drive to Jagat. It takes about 8 hours of drive. The road mainly follow banks of rivers. It goes through dense forest, large villages and hilly terrain. At end of the drive, it’s an hour long off road. Jagat is a small settlement in bank of Tamakhoshi River.
It path moves alongside Gongor Khola and goes uphill. The trail passes through long village of Simigoan. The camp site will be at top of village. Simigoan is beautiful village of mixed culture. Main resident of this village are Sherpa and Tamang. There are other communities of people too.
It will be uphill climb. The trail passes through Simigoan and goes uphill. It passes through dense jungle. It will nice walk after finishing uphill part. The settlements are thinner as we go up. Number of people we encounter are very less as there are not many tourists. Dong-kang is small settlement in middle of jungle with few teahouse.
Beding is a small Sherpa village in foot of a mountain. This village is a very small settlement because of its location. The population living in this even less. The agricultural production is very less and people solely depends on other occupation and animal husbandry. Killing and hunting are prohibited in this place. It is located in bank of River.
Na is another Sherpa village of this region. Although many residents of this village have house on Na as well. The terrain because more rugged and rocky as we climb up.
Acclimatization is an essential part of any expedition. Body needs to adjust according to altitude for safety. You can hike nearby and enjoy the view of mountains of surrounding.
Tsho Rolpa Lake is Glacier Lake with beautiful view. The difficult part of journey begins from here. Some section of the path are difficult to cross because of constant erosion of the landscape. Camp site is located at farsight of this lake
We will trek to Trakarding Glacier Camp. The surrounding provides amazing view of mountains nearby.
The trail climb up through rough path with unstable ground because of loose rocks. Precaution and vigilant eyes are required to reach Tashi Lapcha Phedi safely.
It is slow descend to Thengbo. The will be rough terrain but it gets easier as we descend
We will descend to Thame to join trekking route in Everest. Thame is one of the iconic village of the region because it produced very significant people in mountaineering history. Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa who was first summiteer of Mount Everest was from Thame. There are multiple mountaineering personalities from this particular village.
The trail provides good view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. AmaDablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more. Namche Bazaar is also known as Sherpa Capital. Sherpa is an ethnic community of people who are well known for being good at mountaineering. You can see culture, and lifestyle of local here. You can visit museum to understand Sherpa community if time is available. Modern amenities like ATM, Internet Café, Shops, restaurants, bakery etc. are available to enjoy.
We will use normal trekking route to descend to the Lukla.
We will take flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival to Kathmandu, Sherpa Khangri representative will transfer you back to the Hotel. It will be free day. In evening, dinner with cultural dance will be arranged to celebrate the trip.
Journey with us end here. Office representative will take you to International airport for final departure as per schedule requirement.
