Mt. Manaslu is 8th highest peak of the World. It is located in remote area of Gorkha district in Nepal. It stands 8,163 meters high from sea level. It is located in east of another high mountain, Mt. Annapurna. Manaslu name is derived from Sanskrit world “Manasa” which means intellect or spirit. The word Manaslu means Mountain of Spirit. Local knows it as “Kutung”.

Mt. Manaslu has many routes to summit, but route from Northeast face is the standard commercial route which was laid down by Japanese expedition in 1956. Many mountaineers consider relatively easier to other 8000ers peaks but is no less challenging. It is equally difficult and adventurous.  It needs to be treated with respect. Experienced and trained staff are essential to success. Physical fitness and previous climbing experience is required for anyone to climb the peak. Proper equipments and guidance is required to climb this mountain.

Itinerary
Expedition always have extra days for better chance of success. It may take shorter period to complete whole journey. 

Day 01

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport and Transfer to Hotel (1300m).

Arrival in Kathmandu and pick up and transfer to hotel by office representative. Hang around Thamel on availability of time. Acquire and prepare necessary gear for the trip.

Day 02

Trip briefing, paper works and gear checking.

Preparation day for the trip. Legal Paper work, check all the gears and acquire insufficient essentials. Half day tour if time is available. Short briefing in evening with welcome dinner. Included meals: Breakfast.

Day 03-10

Trek to Manaslu Base Camp (4700m).

It takes long trek to base camp. It takes a week long journey passing through forest, rivers, waterfalls and high cliffs. On the way, there is small scattered settlements of locals who have distinct culture and living styles. In itself is an amazing experience to travel to Manaslu Base Camp.

Day 11-20

Climbing Period

Camp will be set up by the group of staffs who are sent in advance. Before beginning, the main expedition, its good idea to acclimatize body with climbing lower peak like Lobuche peak. It’s gives refreshments on skills and adjust our body for treacherous journey ahead. Small detours will be made for climbing the peak.

Day 21

Clean up, depart Base Camp.

After completion of the expedition, personal gears and goods must be packed by clients and handed to staffs for transported back. After bidding goodbye to staff, you will head back.

Day 22-28

Trek back to Kathmandu.

We trek back to same way back or use alternate path to Dharapani and take vehicle to travel back to Kathmandu. In evening, dinner with cultural dance will be arranged to celebrate the trip.

Day 30

Transfer to International Airport for final departure.

Journey with us end here. Office representative will take you to International airport for final departure as per schedule requirement.
