Rolwaling Valley trek is an undiscovered trek in a rugged and remote region. It takes you through thick forest and along small local Sherpa settlements. It falls under the Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project known as GCAP and is located near Himalayan border of Nepal and Tibet. With many trails routes and tea house based we choose best route with views of nature and camping in safe area to give a pristine and niche memorable trekking in Nepal . This place is also our Founder's birthplace so it carries lot significance to give best service with all due respect and hospitality. Drive to Jagat and start our trek to glacier lake Tsho Ropla and Dudh Pokhari and back to Kathmandu.

The name Rolwaling means, 'valley carved by a plough' and its steep cliffs give the impression of a plough-carved furrow. Rolwaling valley is one of the best Trekking Destination in Nepal. Recently this valley is very popular among domestic & international tourist. Lies on the Lap of Mount Gaurishankar 7145m blessed by Guru Padma Sambhava. It falls under the Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project known as GCAP and is located near Himalayan border of Nepal and Tibet. 

This valley is known for its natural beauty in pristine condition.  The nature and culture of this valley has not been taken over by modernization. Although, the modern facilities are slowly increasing. Melungtse (7181m), Melungtse II (7023m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Pharchamo Peak (6,187 m) Dolma Khang  6332m, Khang Karpo 6,646m , Beding Go,  Langdak Peak 6,220m , Raungsiyar Peak 6,224m, Thakar-Go East 6,152m, Chobuje peak 6,685m, Chukyima Go 6,258m, Cheki Go 6,121m, Pharchamo Peak 6,279m, Bamongo 6,400m, Langdung 6326m , Ramdung Peak  5,900m, Omi Tso Go6332m , Kang Nachugo 6,737m are main peaks of the region. Tsho Rolpa Lake is one of the biggest glacial lake in Nepal is the major attraction of this valley. The lake, which is located at an altitude of 4,580m.

 The trail to this valley passes through dense green forest, fast flowing rivers, high land pasture, glacier lakes. The landscape changes from lush green forest to rugged and semi barren land as we progress. All this landscapes provides its beauty to this trail. 

A western style trek from Jagat to Beding will normally take 3 to 4 days. There are two distinct path to Beding. The trekkers can choose either to go through Tasinam or via Simigau. From Tasinam, trekkers can pass Daldung la pass 4500 m which provides expectacular scenic view of mountains and hills.  Several Himalayan species of birds and animals, flora and fauna can be seen on the trail. The glacier lake is another important part of the trip. Tsho-rolpa is one of the biggest glacier lakes in Nepal and located at an altitude of 4,580 m in the Rolwaling Valley.

Day 1

Arrival Kathmandu 1400m & Transfer to Hotel.

Arrival at Kathmandu International airport. Our office representative will welcome you with khadas - a Nepali local tradition then transfer to hotel. Free day on own . Evening short briefing with Nepali cuisine dinner . Overnight .

Day 2

Drive to Jagat 1450 m (7-8 Hours)

We start our journey by drive to Jagat. A scenic highway passing Tamakoshi river and majestic Mount Gaurishankar (7134 m) . Reach Jagat around 7-8 hours . We first set our camping here . Our Sherpa team members be preparing individual tent with kitchen dinning tent . Overnight .

Day 3

Trek Jelbuk 2500m (6-7 hours)

After early breakfast we head our trail to Jelbuk crossing terraced farmland and forest side. We can witness few snow capped mountain . About 6-7 hours we finally reach our point Jelbuk  camping , rest and overnight.

Day 4

Trek to Kalding 3100m (6-7 hours)

We slowly and gradually start our trial to Kalding crossing mild forest and small bridges . Reach by 6 hours rest and overnight in camp tent.

Day 5

Trek to Beding 3560m (6-7 hours)

The trail today leads us to Beding  We pass through the forested trail that continues up and down to arrive at Beding. Beding is the largest village settlement of the Rolwaling region.Enroute we can observe the entire snow-capped mountains and the beautiful waterfalls in the region. There we can also find the beautiful Buddhist Gompa of the area . Rest and over night .

Day 6

Trek to Na 4185m / Explore Dudh Pokhari 4600m & Tsho Rolpa Lake 4500m .(8-9 hours).

After breakfast, we will start our trek bit early from Beding to Na Gaun. Our trail  heads at bank of Rolwaling River. Reach Na village , we place our baggage and Sherpa member prepare camp site. We trail with our guide to  hike to explore Dudh pokhari lake and an  hour further hike to Tsho Rolpa lake .Tsho Rolpa lake is the biggest glacier lake formed by melting of Himalayas. We spend few time , clcik pictures and descend back to Na .The view of the snow-capped mountain of Gaurishankar (7134m) makes the trip more exciting at background . Moreover, you can observe kind of U-shaped valley with green meadows with mani stones and prayer flags along a large Bodhisattva art painted on a large rock the Na village.  Camping and overnight .

Day 7

Trek to Kyalche 2760m (6-7 hours)

Its a long day trail so we start early to reach the village of Kyalche. Passing through small stream and down of forest side reach Kyalche . Camping and overnight .

Day 8

Trek to Chyot Chyot 1300m (6 hours)

Last day of trek. So we make our final descend back to Chyot Chyot about 6 hours . Evening we thank our Sherpa crew members for entire trip and their wonderful service. We camp and overnight .

Day 9

Drive back to Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel

Wake up in morning. Give gratuity thanks once again to all crew members and we finally drive back in a Jeep to Kathmandu. Reach by 6-7 hours . Check-in 4*hotel . Rest and overnight .
