The trail then pass through Dole then to Gokyo village with calm and beautiful lake . Further on we cross Cho La pass to reach Dzongla village then to Lobuche and Gorakshep . Hike to Everest Base camp and Kalapatthar brings the dream come true moment of watching very closely the mighty - Everest .
Highlights of the trip
Everest region is popular trekking destination in the whole world. Everest region itself is network of various trekking and expedition routes. Everest Base Camp (EBC) via Chola pass is one of the popular trekking trails in the region. It is a high altitude trekking route. It can be classified as a strenuous activity. The natural beauty of this region is quite mesmerizing. The views of sunrise from Kala Patthar and Gokyo Ri makes travel worth. Close views of mountains create memorable memory to thousands of tourists every year. Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Nuptse etc. are some of the notable mountains that can be seen on the trail.
Everest is also known the local people. The majority of people are from indigenous community of Sherpa. They are well known as mountaineers. The friendly nature of the local people are always welcoming side of the trip. There are number of things that are related to culture and tradition of people which can be interesting to tourists. The religious aspect of the region is also another major part of the trip. Lifestyles of local are highly influenced by their belief. Most of residents in the region are Buddhist. Age old monasteries and festivals that are performed here can be amazing experience to the people from outside.

Arrival in Kathmandu and pick up and transfer to hotel by office representative. Hang around Thamel on availability of time. Acquire and prepare necessary gear for the trip. Short briefing in evening with welcome dinner.
Early morning, we drive to Ramechhep 5 hours then board to Lukla . In high season flying to Lukla via Kathmandu is high on air traffic. Reach Lukla we take breakfast. Meet our supporting staff Potter Sherpas brother. Then we will head to Phakding. It’s an easy downhill walk of 3 hours. On busy season, we will meet many trekkers. The trail is busy with people, mules and zopkyos.
The trail runs alongside Dudh Koshi River crossing through pine and oak forest. We need to cross this river several times. We will be entering Sagarmatha National Parks on this day. We will get first glimpse of ‘Mount Everest’ on this day. The monuments alongside path reminds of its Buddhist influence.
Acclimatization is an important part of any trip to altitude. It helps body to adjust and rejuvenate to the environment. Namche Bazaar is interesting place to take rest. It is known as Sherpa Capital. Sherpa is an ethnic community of people who are well known for being good at mountaineering. You can see culture and lifestyle of local here. You can visit museum to understand Sherpa community. You can explore local market. Modern amenities like ATM, Internet Café, Shops, restaurants, bakery etc. are available to enjoy.
Its small uphill and downhill climb today. The Mountain View from the trail is quite amazing. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kongde from the trail. Stay overnight in tea house in Dole.
Its gradually uphill climb. The tree line fade away and busy and thorny shrubs fill the surrounding. There are number of settlements which are used as seasonal stay house. Pasture land with animals husbandry are common site on the trail. Stay overnight in tea house in Machhermo.
We will follow the trail that climbs up to ridge and heads down the river bank. On the way, we will pass through holy lake where Hindu devotee worship and take dip. We will get to another lake known as Gokyo Lake after that. Gokyo Lake is one of prime destination in the region. It is a glacier lake situated near Ngozumpa Glacier. Gokyo village is a small settlement in bank of this glacier lake. We will stay overnight in Gokyo village in a tea house.
We will hike to Gokyo Ri early morning to take view of mountains and Ngozumpa Glacier. The view of the mountains is amazing from the top. t. Cho Oyu (8201m) Mt. Everest (8848), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7879m), Makalu (8481m), Cholaste (6335m), Tabuche peak (6495m), Gychung Kang (7922m) and many more peaks can be viewed from here. We will return back to Gokyo after the hike. You can enjoy the view and rest in Gokyo. We will stay overnight in a teahouse at Gokyo.
It will be highest point of the whole trip. Although, the trail is not very hard but it is hazardous. Loose rocky terrain with steep climb make uncomfortable to the trekkers. We will try to cross the pass early because of stable weather in early morning. We will reach and stay overnight in Dzongla.
It will be short and comfortable walk to Lobuche. It will lunch camp. So, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the view of mountains and landscape on the way to Lobuche.
It will be very long day walk. EBC is gives amazing view of nearby mountains including Mt. Everest. But only part of Everest can be seen. Amazing view of Khumbu icefall, Khumbu glacier, Mt. Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse makes experience worthy to travel. We return to Gorak Shep and Stay overnight in teahouse.
Kalapatthar is highest point in whole trip. It is recommended to start early for sunrise view. From the top of Kala patthar, we can view 360 degree view of mountain range. Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Pumori, and many more can be viewed from the top. We will trek to Pangboche and Stay overnight in teahouse.
We will use classic Everest base camp route to return to Lukla. The trail begins to get green and warmer as we descend. On the way, we will reach Tengboche is a beautiful village filled with lot of things to explore. Tengboche monastery is well renowned century old monastery of the region. We will visit this monastery on availability of time. We will descend to Namche Bazaar from where we took different route.
We will trace back the same route to Lukla and stay overnight in teahouse.
We fly back to Ramechhap airport then drive back to Kathmandu. Our office representative will transfer you back to the Hotel. It will be free day. In evening, dinner with cultural dance will be arranged to celebrate the trip.
Journey with us end here. Office representative will take you to International airport for final departure as per schedule requirement.
