Mt. Lhotse is 4th highest peak in the world after Mt. Everest, Mt. K2 and Mt. Kanchenjunga. It stands 8516m high. It is locate in Khumbu region, in close proximity to mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse. It is alternate expedition to Mt. Everest expedition because of its low cost. It is one of the most physically and mentally demanding activities that can be performed by human.

Mt. Lhotse is fourth highest peak in the world. It is 8,516 meters high from sea level. It is located Mahalangur mountain range of Khumbu region. It is located in close proximity of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nputse and share common route with Everest Expedition. The word ‘Lhotse’ is derived from Tibetan word which means South Peak. Although the main summit of Mt. Lhotse is 8,516 m, there are additional three other distinct summits named Middle Lhotse and Lhotse east, Lhotse Shar.

Mt. Lhotse is also physically and mentally demanding expedition. A proper physically fitness, good health and proper supporting climbing staffs are required for success and safety of clients. Previous climbing experience and knowledge about mountaineering is essential and compulsory for all the clients in the team. Proper acclimatization, good guidance, high quality equipments, skilled and experienced support staffs, good and healthy food and supplementary are vital for success.

Lot of time, Mt. Lhotse expedition is alternative to Mt. Everest expedition. Its relative low cost for permit makes its overall cost low. But it is equally exciting and challenging too.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport and Transfer to Hotel (1300m).

Arrival in Kathmandu and pick up and transfer to hotel by office representative. Hang around Thamel on availability of time. Acquire and prepare necessary gear for the trip.

Day 02: Trip briefing, paper works and gear checking.

Preparation day for the trip. Legal Paper work, check all the gears and acquire insufficient essentials. Half day tour if time is available. Short briefing in evening with welcome dinner. Included meals: Breakfast.

Day 03-13: Trek to Everest Base Camp and peak climbing.

Normal trekking route will be used to reach Everest base Camp. The route itself is one of the finest trekking destination in whole world. It is cultural and natural hotspot for tourists.

Day 14-21: Establish camps and acclimatize.

Camp will be set up by the group of staffs who are sent in advance. Before beginning, the main expedition, its good idea to acclimatize body with climbing lower peak like Lobuche peak. It’s gives refreshments on skills and adjust our body for treacherous journey ahead. Small detours will be made for climbing the peak.

Day 21-28: Acclimatization period

Acclimatization is one of the vital part of any major expedition. Exploration and training will be key part of rest period and period may vary according to need of clients.

Day 29-36: Summit Climb Period.

There will be several ascend to various camps before summit push in final. Base Camp of Everest is at elevation of 5200m, Camp 1 at 5900, Camp 2 at 6400m, Camp 3 at 7100m, and Camp 4 at 7900m and summit at 8516m.

Day 37: Clean up, depart Base Camp.

After completion of the expedition, personal gears and goods must be packed by clients and handed to staffs to be transported back. After bidding goodbye to staff, you will head back.

Day 38-43: Trek back to Lukla.

After leaving base camp, we will trace back the same route to Lukla as ascend to base camp.

Day 44: Lukla to Kathmandu Valley.

On arrival to Kathmandu, Sherpa Khangri representative will transfer you back to the Hotel. It will be free day. In evening, dinner with cultural dance will be arranged to celebrate the trip.

Day 45: Transfer to International Airport for final departure.

Journey with us end here. Office representative will take you to International airport for final departure as per schedule requirement.
