Langtang is located to north of Kathmandu. It is good trekking route for the people who want to experience nature in relatively short period of time. Nature can be observed from comfortable altitude. It provides views of Langtang Lirung (7,345m),Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Kimsung (6,781m), Yansa Tsenji (6,575m), Gang Chenpo (6,388m), Naya Kanga (5,846m) and other small peaks. It also have two glacier in this valley. Another part of the trip is Gousainkunda. It is beautiful lake situated at the altitude of 4600m. It is surrounded by many small lakes and ponds. It has very high religious significance in Hindu religion. It is considered as a holy lake and believes to have healing power. Hindus have festival every year when huge number of people comes to celebrate it. Most of the residents are from Tamang community and are very friendly nature. Their welcoming nature always attracts tourist. The main religion people of the people in the region are Buddhists. Monasteries that are built in this area are another attraction. Langtang is also known for its wild life. Red Panda is enlisted as one of the most endangered species is also found in this region.

Langtang is beautiful trekking route that is near to Kathmandu, the entry point for tourists. It is located to the north of Kathmandu and have border with Tibet. The trail goes through dense green forest, rivers, lakes and settlements in unusual location. We begin our journey heading towards Langtang Valley. Langtang valley gives a close view to the high mountains from relatively comfortable altitude at short period of time. It provides views of Langtang Lirung (7,345m) Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Kimsung (6,781m),Yansa Tsenji (6,575m), Gang Chenpo (6,388m), Naya Kanga (5,846m) and other small peaks. After completing the Langtang valley trek, we will head to Gousainkunda Lake. It is beautiful lake situated at the altitude of 4600m. It is surrounded by many small lakes and ponds. Day 01

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport and Transfer to Hotel (1300m).

Arrival in Kathmandu and pick up and transfer to hotel by office representative. Hang around Thamel on availability of time. Acquire and prepare necessary gear for the trip. Short briefing in evening with welcome dinner.

Day 02

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (2000 m) 8 hours drive.

It will be drive through hilly area. The road goes through dense jungle, terraced farmland, and settlement by the side of roads. You will get view of the Langtang Himal on first day

Day 03

Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2748 m) 5-6 hours.

We will head to Langtang Valley after registering in tourist check post. We will follow Langtang Khola (river). The trail have quite steep climb which passes through dense jungle of bamboo and rhododendron. We will cross several suspension bridge during the trip.

Day 04

Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3500 m) 5- 6 hours.

The trail will goes alongside the Langtang Khola. There are number of small settlements with small teashops in steep places. Good view of Mt. Langtang Lirung can be seen from the trail.

Day 05

Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3800 m) 4-5 hours.

It will be short lunch Camp to Kyanjin Gompa. Gumpa means monastery. There is old monastery which can be visited in free time. Good view of mountains surrounding the area can be viewed from here.

Day 06

Kyanjin Gompa exploration day.

Kyanjin Gompa provides good view of surrounding mountains but it can be further explore by hiking nearby places. Better view is available by making hike on rest day. Hike to Kyanjing Ri, hiking to Tsergo Ri or visit to lanshisaKharka can be option to explore nearby. The rest also helps body to acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 07

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2748 m) 5-6 hours.

We will trace back the same route to Lama Hotel from Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 08

Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (3010 m) 5-6 hours.

We will trace back the same route as ascend until we reach place called Pahiro. We will take split pathway to Thulo Saybru. It is uphill walk from here. This place is big and elongated village. It have many small teahouse and lodges.

Day 09

Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa (3330 m)6-7hours.

It is a gradual uphill from Thulo Syabru. It goes through terraced farmland and green grazing spaces of animals. Then, there is dense forest after lunch place. Shin Gompa is small settlement located in middle of jungle. The literal translation of Shin Gompa is Gompa made up of woods.

Day 10

Shin Gomba to Gousiankunda Lake (4380 m) 5-6 hours.

It is uphill climb to Gousiankunda. As we climb up, the tree line gradually gets thinner and disappears. On the way, we can see great view of Mt. Ganesh Himal. Gousiankunda is beautiful turquoise lake in top of hill. There are number of small ponds in surrounding area. This place has special significance for Hindu. There is annual festival held which bring thousands of religious pilgrims here. It has small settlements in bank of this lake.

Day 11

Gousiankunda to Gopte (3640 m) 6-8 hours.

We will cross to another valley through Laurebina Pass. Although this pass is not technical one, it might be difficult to cross on snowy and cold day. It downhill after pass. It provides amazing view of Helambu valley from the pass.

Day 12

Gopte to Malemchigaon (3150 m) 6-7 hours.

The path goes through forest and crosses many small stream. The path goes up and down several time during the trip.

Day 13

Malemchigaon to Tarke Gyang (2600 m) 5-7 hours.

The trail goes downward to Malemchi Khola (river). After crossing the river, the trail climbs uphill to Tarke Gyang. It is one of the largest villages of the region.

Day 14

Tarke Gyang to Sermathang 3-5 hours.

It is pleasant walk to Sermathang. The trail goes through forest and farmland. It is beautiful village at top of hill and give amazing view of valley. There will be plenty of time to explore this beautiful village.

Day 15

Sermathang to Melamchi and Drive to Kathmandu 3-4 hours, 2 hours drive.

We will descend downhill through settlements. Melamchi is a settlement in bank of River Melamchi where transportation is available. We will drive back to Kathmandu and office representative will transfer you to hotel. Stay overnight in hotel of Kathmandu. It will be free time if we reach Kathmandu early. In evening, dinner with cultural dance will be arranged to celebrate the trip.

Day 16

Transfer to International Airport for final departure.
