More than 60 climbers have scaled the world's ninth highest peak this season expedition organizers said.

 According to Mingma Sherpa, Chairman at Seven Summit treks, at least 29 climbers from his expedition team Seven Summit successfully scaled Nannga Parbat, a killer mountain in Pakistan, this season. Also Norwegian climber Kristin Harila and Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa too had scaled Nanga Parbat on June 26 .

Among the summitters, French woman climber Sophie Lavaud completed all  her 14 peaks by scaling Nanga Parbat this season. Adding that Trukish climber Tunc Findik also completed all 14 peaks above 8,000m. Tunc, however, had climbed Manaslu's fore-summit.

Meanwhile, 16 climbers from Elite expedition and 10 climbers from Imagine Nepal Treks also scaled Nanga Parbat on July 2. 

From Elite Expedition, team leader Nirmal 'Nims' Purja scaled the mountain without using supplemental oxygen.  According to reports, Paweł Kopeć from Poland died from Acute Mountain Sickness near Camp 4 while Pakistani climber Asif Bhatti suffered from snow blindness and got stranded above Camp 3.
