The Mountain Cleaning Campaign 2023 commenced from 28th March till 5th of June. This time it was  led and coordinated by the Nepali Army. The team has successfully collected from the halfway collections of wates from four mountains- Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Annapurna, and Mt. Baruntse.

 This campaign, which is one of the biggest cleanup programs in the world.  The Coca-Cola bottelers Nepal was the major sponser partner for the campaign while other few organizations too collaborated on this cleaning cause.

Annually  hundreds of climbers and Sherpas make their way to mountains, leaving behind both biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste along the way that leads to a pollution of waste management in the mountains. This campaign team comprises a total of 97 members including of  Nepali Army and Sherpa supporters. The team had to faced the  brutal and harsh weather conditions that led the team slow and purd by snowy to clean up. They hardly could collected 34,166 kg of waste from these four mountains. They will hand over to the recycling department for further processing, as part of the campaign's efforts to promote sustainable waste management practices.

A final celebration event will be held in Kathmandu to commemorate the campaign's success upon reaching the goal of collecting 35 tons of waste this year. The campaign will then fianl conclude on 5th June World Environment Day.
