Luis Stitzinger, the expedition leader of the German expedition team Amical Alpin, was out of contact from around 8,500m after he scaled the world's third highest peak without using supplemental oxygen on May 25th. With search team, his body was found just below 8500 m. His family and expedition operator requested to recover his body by heli and had brought back to Kathmandu and will be report to his family . We would like to put a heartfelt condolence to the family and may his soul rest in peace .
Luis along with other climber Adrian Laza, Vadim Pirmin Druelle, Vibeke Andrea Sefland, He Jing, Waldemar Kowalewski, Flower Waganku Wayta, Pemba Sherpa, Nuri Sherpa, Chhepal Sherpa, Chhiring Bhote and Ang Tenji Sherpa had scaled the third highest peak .
He was the officially certified mountain and ski guide . He had been one of Germany's most active mountaineers for many years. He had successfully climbed other mountains without supplementary oxygen. Luis skied down from after successfully scaled few top 14 above 8000s highest peaks like in -Gasherbrum II , Nanga Parbat , Broad Peak , K2 , Manaslu , Shisha Pangma and the north face of Pik Lenin .
