The first ever Australian team on Mt Manaslu has scripted a history in mountain climbing this season. According to expedition leader Phunuru Sherpa, a team from Australia successfully scaled the real summit of Manaslu this morning of 25 Sep becoming the first ever team from Australia to have reached summit. Among the climbers, Conor James Coleman, 21, has become the youngest Australian to reach the real summit of Manaslu. At the age of 65, Mark Trevor Ayrey has scaled Manaslu real summit becoming the oldest one to do so, Sherpa shared.

Allan Karl Cohrs, Colin James Briggs, Dawa Tenzing Sherpa, Ang Karma Sherpa and Sonam Tashi Sherpa also scaled the peak being a part of the Aussie team. The team was handled by 14 Peaks Expedition.
